Building on the current Attendance module for Moodle, we've added some great new enhancements:
The barcode attendance module comes packed with new features:
- AJAX Scheduler (like Google Calendar)
- Multiple views
- Day, Week, Month, Year, Agenda (List)
- Intuitive interface
- Drag and drop session moving
- Drag and drop session creation
- Flexible Grid for viewing, inserting, updating sessions.
- Barcode scanning or any other electronic device which can mimic keyboard input.
- Complex attendance policy definition
- Define late arrivals, early leavers, rules by % of session attended
- Weighted (sorted) by severity
- Automatic report generation based on attendance policies and scan logs.
- Admin Reports (Admin views)
- Filter by course, group, student, date range & status
- Report types (Pivot, Grid)
- AJAX updating of attendance status / remarks
- Drag and drop column resizing
- Quick column sorting (javascript)
- Student Reports (Student views)
- Tabs for viewing reports filtered by status

- Backup and restore functions implemented & tested for all new features.
- Upgrade functions implemented & tested for all new features.
- Import function for Sessions, Teachers, Subjects, Titles now in development.
- Sessions Grid and Calendar are still being worked on
- Most of additional options will be made optional if/when time allows
